Terms of Service

By downloading or using Langsy, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Langsy on devices you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial language learning. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

2. Accounts

• You may use Langsy as a guest, or create an account via Google or Apple sign-in.
• You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. Only one session per account is active at a time — signing in on a new device will end the session on previous devices.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use Langsy.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Submit content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or that violates the rights of others.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, disassemble, or circumvent the technical measures of the app or its backend.
• Use the app to generate content that violates applicable law or the usage policies of our AI providers (OpenAI, Google, Mistral, etc.).
• Automate, scrape, or redistribute AI responses from Langsy.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

4. AI Content Disclaimer

Langsy uses large language models to generate language practice content, translations, grammar feedback, and pronunciation guidance. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or occasionally offensive. Langsy is a learning aid, not a certified instructor. Do not rely on AI output for legal, medical, financial, safety-critical, or certification purposes.

5. Subscriptions and Free Tier

• Langsy offers a free tier with daily usage limits (chat / repeat / listening practice).
• Paid subscriptions ("Langsy Max") remove daily limits and may include additional features. Billing is handled by Apple App Store / Google Play. Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled in your store account at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• Refund requests are handled by Apple / Google according to their respective policies.

6. Intellectual Property

Langsy, its logos, original content, design, and software are owned by the app developer. AI-generated content returned to you is provided under the terms of the respective AI provider and, subject to those terms, you may use your personal learning history as you see fit.

7. Termination

You may stop using Langsy and delete your account at any time (Profile → Privacy & Data → Delete Account). We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if continued operation becomes infeasible. Upon termination, your account data is removed per the Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Langsy is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Langsy and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising out of or in connection with your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to these Terms or Langsy is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or, if the app was used for free, limited to $10 USD).

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the latest revision. Continued use of Langsy after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where the developer resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved individually, not as part of a class action.
